Puzzle Complete!

For Christmas, my brother made us a 250 piece puzzle of our boys from great pictures he took of each of the boys when he visited us in November. We put them together this morning. Here is the finished product!

Christmas Eve in Boston

We spent the day in Boston. Allison took the two older boys to see the Boston Pops and I took the younger boys to the MOS. I was able to take the boys to Quincy market to see the big tree before heading back west for a late brunch at The Cottage... a nice new tradition now we are staying home for the holidays.

Christmas Cookies

The boys frosted sugar cookies this evening to prepare for Christmas weekend. Max frosted his first cookie with all of the frosting we gave him and half the bowel of M&Ms... obviously he needed more supervision.

Christmas Festival of Lights

This afternoon Allison took the three older boys to Edaville for the Chsitmas Festival of Lights. The weather was perfect for the carnival rides. Here is the slideshow review of the daytime fun.

It's Beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Tonight for Family Home Evening, we decorated the Christmas tree. Max made sure the bottom half of the tree had a good percentage of ornaments. We ended the evening with donuts and hot coco. The boys are counting down the days!

Goodbye to the Frocs

Today, I said good bye to Marcel and Clara Froc. They have been dear friends in our Framingham Ward. They are moving back to Canada later this week to be closer to family. I wish them the best.

Christmas Countdown Calendar

For our family home evening, we prepared a Christmas countdown calendar for each of the boys. Starting December 1st, they are able to eat one chocolate until Christmas.

Vermont Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving in Vermont again this year. Kim and Bruce came up with us. We had fun at the Smuggler's Notch resort--great food, trips to Ben & Jerry's and cider mill, fun at the resort and in our room. Here is a slide show of some of the highlights.

Andrew's Thankful Feast

We went to Andrew's class today to tour and see all of his Thanksgiving crafts and celebrate the annual Thankful Feast program.

Birthday Surprise

Allison planned a birthday surprise weekend for me to celebrate my milestone birthday... a family reunion at our home. My sister arrived Thursday night and Friday morning I opened the door to welcome my parents and brother from Michigan. We had a fun trip to the cider mill, nice dinners, segway tour of Boston with my siblings, and a birthday dinner. See slide show below for pictures of our weekend. We also had took a family portrait for my parent's Christmas card.

Trunk Or Treat

We did a test run of our Halloween costumes at our ward's annual Trunk or Treat. Due to the crazy weather (snow!) we held everything indoors at the Marlborough chapel. Here are the pictures of the boys in their costumes.

Time to cut the pumpkin!

This year, we decided to get one big pumpkin to decorate than three little ones. We also created caramel apples before and ate them afterward. Here are the pix.

Cole's First Grade Play

This afternoon, Allie and I took the boys to see Cole's first grade play. He was one of the lions. He did a great job singing. His favorite part of the afternoon was the cast party where he eat cake and had some punch (something he was looking forward to for weeks).

Cole Kicks!

Cole participated in a Kick-a-thon this afternoon to raise money for the Warrior Project, helping our soldiers returning with brain damage. He was able to get a final kick count of 103 (a record for him). We are proud of him to learn about charity and ask family members to sponsor him. Thanks to those who helped out!

Service Project with Andrew

This morning Andrew and I went to the EMC Park for a ward service project. Andrew helped me load up the wheel barrow with mulch and spread across the playground. Here he is enjoying a drink box break and ride back.

I took three of the boys to New Hampshire for our annual Father and Son Campout. This was Max's first time and he loved it. Of course the boys were up past 11:30 pm... good thing Max was able to sleep in.

Our trip to Portsmouth

We went to Portsmouth, New Hampshire today with Kim and the boys. I took the older three to the Rumble Tumble to get some energy out while Kim and Allison shopped around the downtown. We were able to walk around and take some pictures of this cool town before enjoying some Flatbread Company pizza.

Mary Poppins Matinee

This afternoon Pat and I took the boys into Boston to see "Mary Poppins" the musical. We all loved the music, magic, and story. It was a great way to get out of the house and spend time with the boys.

Welcome Home, Hudson!

I took the boys to the hospital this morning to get Allison and Hudson. Both are doing well and checked out with good bill of health. We took some pictures of the boys when we got home.

Hudson, meet your brothers

I took the boys the the hospital this morning to meet Hudson. They were all interested in getting to know their baby brother and can't wait to have him home.

Welcome Hudson William Yakonich!

Hudson was born this morning at 5:38 am about an hour after we checked into the hospital. He weighed in at 6 lb 8 oz and 20 inches (the longest of our boys). Here are some early photos we took during the day.



I plan to take the boys to visit their new brother on Saturday morning.

Jump Around on President's Day

Since we all had the day off and had to get out of the house in the morning, we took the kids to Jump Around in Framingham to get some energy out. They all loved the bounce playground. Here are the pix:

Wild Boar Project

As part of Cole's module on animals, he wrote a report on his favorite... the wild boar. We built this diorama on the wild boar in his habitation.

Happy Valentine's Day

We had a nice celebration for Valentine's Day with the boys. Cole made a nice valentine for each member of the family. I especially enjoyed mine... he drew a rocket with a female astronaut floating in space. How did I know the astronaut was female? He taped a conversational heart that read: "You go girl!" We laughed and laughed.

Tubing Adventure

After Cole's school, I took him and Andrew to the Sports Park for tubing. This was Andrew's first time and he loved it. See the brief video highlights below.

Utah Weekened

At the beginning of January, I flew to Utah with Andrew to visit with my sister and her family. We were able to visit with Allison's brother John and his family and met with our family friend CJ. It was a great trip.
